EMD SD45

The three units were originally EMD demonstrators #4352-4354. Know as "Hummingbirds,' these locos were swapped to the EL for three U33Cs (#3301-3303). The SD45s returned to the D&H after "Conveyance" day and were “patched” back to D&H, with the EL maroon bands painted D&H blue. All three were sold to Mexico in 1978.

In 1977, D&H SD45 #803 shows off its L-shaped windshield and patched EL paint scheme. The Garbely Publishing Company collection
