Modeling Articles & Drawings

Within categories, locos and cars are listed approximately in the order in which the D&H acquired them.  Titles of magazines are abbreviated except when first mentioned within a category.  A few of the articles listed do not deal specifically with D&H prototypes but explain techniques that are useful for modeling them.  Also included are reviews of some locomotives and car kits especially suited for modeling D&H equipment.  All models and kits are HO scale unless otherwise specified.

The indispensable reference for anyone who wants to model D&H rolling stock is the D&H Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment, by Jim Odell, Jeffrey Martin, Gardiner Cross, and Jack Wright, in cooperation with the Bridge Line Historical Society, published by Morning Sun Books in 1997.

Magazine abbreviations used in the following listing:

LQ - Locomotive Quarterly
RMC - Railroad Model Craftsman
MR - Model Railroader
MRG - Model Railroading
RMJ - Rail Model Journal
MM - Mainline Modeler
